What are the benefits of the new & improved Harringtons dry dog food recipe?
We’ve added freshly prepared chicken – a great source of natural protein for energy, growth and repair. We’ve also added homemade gravy, making our recipe even tastier and salmon oil, giving a whole host of health benefits.
What flavour is your dry dog food available in?
Our original recipe Harringtons dry dog food comes in lamb, turkey, beef, salmon and chicken.
What is the difference between small dog food and adult dog food?
As well as a smaller kibble size, our small dog food contains additional protein, which small dogs can benefit from.
When should I transition my puppy to adult food?
General advice is to begin to make the change once your puppy is around three-quarters expected adult size and many people choose to do so at some point between 9 and 18 months. The point at when you change the diet is a personal choice.
Can cats eat dog food?
Cats should not be fed dog food as it does not contain enough taurine and has a nutritional profile suitable for dogs only. Long term feeding of dog food to cats could cause your cat to become unwell.

Worth the money
Dogs love it and the bowl is emptied pretty quickly. Does smell fishy but their skin looks healthier, they love the taste, brown in colour. Quality is good
Great dog food at a great price.
I have 6 dogs and every single one of them love this food. All of them have super shiny coats too. My little Chihuahua is very picky and after a day or two won’t touch her food until we bought this. I’d put this right up there with James Wellbeloved
My dogs love it
Fast delivery, good price, dogs love it.
Bit expensive
I bought it while on sale. I’d say a bit expensive but it is good. Frenchies with sensitive stomach did well on it
~2017-2024~ Delicate Tummies. STILL Fit & Healthy. Firm stools. NO Stinky Wind! Other Flavours
~ORIGINAL REVIEW 2017~ Both our DALMATIANS clear their dishes of Harringtons “SALMON & POTATO ” dry food @ EVERY meal. (WE DO BUY THE VERSION WITH A SPANIEL ON THE BAG, NOTTHE VERSION WITH A DALMATIAND, AS YOUNGEST EATS VERY QUICKLY, & SLOW FEEDER bowl, NEEDS SMALLER KIBBLE. )Then they check each other’s bowls for any missed crumbs. ‘Suitable for all ages’, 2y & 7y. Weight & Muscle maintained. Lovely Coats. Firm stools. Both thoroughly enjoy it & within a week of changing their diet just to this……’Silent Stink Bombs’/Trumps are thankfully now a thing of the past. If you have a dog you are likely to have experienced them at some point.~UPDATE 2020~ Have tried a few DIFFERENT VARIETIES/FLAVOURS of HARRINGTONS dry dog foods over past 2 years (always gradually phasing in new flavour over 10 days) so thought I would update review, incase you are considering a change too.We find a change in flavour every 3-5 months is excitedly enjoyed & avoids them from ever getting fed up of a certain flavour. (Who would want to eat the same meal/flavour everyday for years on end?)’SALMON & SWEET POTATO’ ~Just smelt sweeter! Eaten with their usual enthusiasm, with no change in health….or output!Harringtons ‘CHICKEN & RICE’ & ‘TURKEY & VEG’ were both a hit too.. No negative affect on health or output. BUT unfortunately the occassional ‘SILENT STINK BOMBS’ returned in both dogs (NOT unbearable. But best for us to feed these flavours during warmer months, when windows open or spending more time outside).Tried the ‘LAMB & RICE’ version too, BUT it wasn’t eaten with the same enthusiasm as the others & resulted in absolutely unbearable Silent Stink Bombs which were eye watering for us humans! We used the rest of the bag, a few at a time in giggle/treat balls or scattered in garden for dogs to find as a game.~2022 UPDATE~ NOW aged 13years & 7years old. Vets & other dog walkers/owners always comment on how fit & healthy our girls are. Strangers think our 13yr old is just 8 or 9!They have had ‘SENIOR CHICKEN & RICE’ dry food now too, which they both enjoyed, with No Negative results.~~ UPDATE May 2024. ~~ NOW 14y10m & 9 years. Photo taken Decâ23. ~ ~~SALMON & POTATO IS STILL THEIR ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE & ‘CREATES THE LEAST WIND’ / FEWEST ‘SILENT STINK BOMBS’…..perfect for dogs with delicate tummies, and for all dogs during colder/wetter/WINTER months when inside with windows shut.REALLY ENJOY SENIOR CHICKEN & RICE TOO. (Especially good for helping with weight too.)THANK YOU HARRINGTONS.
Dog likes these
Mix with Harrington meat trays..dog eats it all
Dog loves them
I usually get the the lamb and rice but thought I’d change it up and bought these and my dog absolutely loves this flavour
Goes down well with dogs
Until recently bought grain free dog food from a local farm shop, however, their prices have shot up dramatically. Found this dog food which we thought we’d try. Now, our dog (labrador) will eat anything, even sheep droppings, but our son’s dog is fussy so the review is based on her. Good price. We receive it every two months on repeat. Have given five stars for taste although I haven’t been able to ascertain from the dog her thoughts on this. Five stars given due to price, delivery and the fact it’s wolfed down.
